Terms of Service

The rules for installing and using Parking Spot Saver.

Welcome to Parking Spot Saver. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and the operator of Parking Spot Saver ("we", "our", or "the app") and govern your access to and use of the application and related services. Please read them carefully before installing or using the app.

Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the app, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the app and uninstall it from your device.

1. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's standard End User License Agreement. You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, sell, or rent the app or any portion of it
• Decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code, except as expressly permitted by law
• Use the app for unlawful or unauthorized activities, or in a way that infringes the rights of others
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to bypass the app's functionality, integrity, or security features

2. App Functionality

Parking Spot Saver is a personal utility that helps you remember where you parked your vehicle. When you tap "I parked here", the app records your current coordinates, displays them on a map, resolves them to a street address, and — when you request it — hands them off to your chosen navigation app for turn-by-turn directions back. The app requests location access as "When In Use" only, and does not track you in the background. There is no account and no sign-in.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features are available through in-app subscriptions:

• The Weekly plan ($1.99/week) includes a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
• The Yearly plan ($9.99/year) does not include a free trial.
• The free tier allows one active saved spot. Parking history, multiple active spots, photos and notes, and the parking meter timer with alerts require an active subscription.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancellation is initiated at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase and again upon each renewal.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store account settings.
• Payment processing, billing, and subscription management are handled entirely through Apple's in-app purchase system. Refund requests are subject to Apple's applicable policies and are processed by Apple, not by us.

4. Location, Navigation, and Third-Party Services

The app relies on your device's location services to save and recall parking spots, and on Apple's system geocoding service to convert coordinates into a human-readable address. Turn-by-turn navigation is handled by Apple Maps or Google Maps, launched at your request; once you leave the app to navigate, the destination navigation service applies its own terms and privacy policy. Location accuracy depends on GPS signal, environmental conditions, and system-level settings, all of which are outside our control.

5. Parking Meter Timer

The parking meter countdown, when enabled, schedules a local notification to alert you before the selected duration expires. Delivery timing depends on system-level settings such as Focus modes, battery optimization, and background activity. The timer is provided as a convenience and does not modify or replace the actual meter, permit, or parking rules that apply at your location — you remain responsible for observing them.

6. Updates and Availability

We may release updates that add, modify, or remove features at any time, and we may discontinue parts of the app or the service as a whole. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or continued access to any specific feature. Some updates may require a current version of iOS or compatible hardware.

7. Disclaimer

The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, accuracy, reliability, non-infringement, and fitness for a particular purpose. Parking Spot Saver is a personal aid, not a guaranteed retrieval or safety system; you remain responsible for observing local parking rules and for finding your vehicle.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. This includes, without limitation, any missed meter alerts, parking fines, towing, lost time, or data loss resulting from device changes, app updates, or actions you take inside the app. Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for related subscriptions during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time if these Terms are violated, if continued use creates legal or technical risk, or if the service is discontinued. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
